What is World Youth Day (WYD)?

World Youth Day is a global Catholic event held every 2-3 years in a city chosen by the Pope.
Young people from around the world gather for a powerful experience of faith, unity, and celebration.
World Youth Day includes catechesis, cultural events, and concludes with a vigil and Mass with the Pope.

When is World Youth Day 2027 going to be held?

As announced by Pope Francis, World Youth Day 2027 will take place in
Seoul, South Korea, from August 3 to August 8, 2027.

What are the
'Days in the Dioceses'?

Days in the Dioceses is a prelude to WYD Seoul 2027, giving international pilgrims a chance to experience local Church life across Korea's 15 dioceses. During this period, young people stay with host families or in parishes, immersing themselves in Korean culture, faith, and community. This spiritual and cultural journey deepens their WYD experience through evangelization, service, and fellowship. For details on each diocese's program, please refer to their official channel.
